SOME CLAIMS ABOUT CANCER CURES: WHEAT GRASS

Sunday, February 20th, 2011
Wheat grass is a wonder plant. Dr. Ann Wigmore of Boston, U.S., the founder director of the Hippocrates Health Institute, and well-known naturopath and pioneer in the field of living food nutrition, tested the effect of a drink made of fresh wheat grass in the treatment of leukaemia. She claims to have cured several cases of this disease by this method.
According to Dr. Ann Wigmore, “guided by spiritual mentality and nourished only by live uncooked food, the body will run indefinitely, unhampered by sickness.” Dr. G.H. Earp Thomas, a scientist and soil expert, isolated over one hundred elements from fresh wheat grass and concluded that it is a complete food.
The juice extracted from fresh wheat grass is considered beneficial in the treatment of cancer. By furnishing the body with live minerals, vitamins, trace elements and chlorophyll, the wheatgrass juice may help to repair the damaged cells.
An exclusive diet of wheat grass can be used beneficially in treating diseases. In adopting this mode of treatment, the patient should undertake fasting on wheat grass, for seven days. This fast provides the body with all the nutrients of the richest living food in a form so concentrated and easy to digest that it provides virtually all the benefits of a complete fast with none of the dangers of total abstinence. Such a fast can cleanse and nourish at the same time. One can be confident of complete safety and real health-building results.
To prepare for the wheat grass fast, it is essential for the patient to undertake repeated warm water enema so as to cleanse the body of accumulated waste products. It is necessary to eliminate this putrefaction. The wheat grass fast consists of three or four wheat grass juice drinks each day plus two chlorophyll implants. If the patient does not like the taste or odour of the juice, he can take four implants instead of two, with same beneficial results.
Upon awakening, the patient should drink two glasses of warm water, mixed with the juice of one lemon sweetened with molasses or honey. Then, the colon should be thoroughly cleansed with an enema to eliminate any debris clinging to the inner walls of the colon. The patient should sip 120 ml of pure wheat grass chlorophyll three times a day, at five-hourly intervals. Each drink may be diluted with water on 50:50 basis. While on wheat grass therapy, the patient should drink at least one litre of not-too-cold water each day, placing a small bunch of wheat grass in each drink to purify it.
The role of nutrition in cancer has been confirmed by new scientific observations which recognize the fact that the blood lacks in organic mineral elements and true nutrients out of which true, healthy, vibrant cells are created. The blood and consequently, the tissues, have become so saturated with waste and foreign matter that the life of the individual is being threatened. As a safety measure, the body builds the cancerous cells from the blood pollutants at a rapid pace, reducing the impurities in the blood. During the wheat grass therapy, the growths are brought, piecemeal, into the bloodstream and removed through the eliminative organs. The therapy consists of grass chlorophyll cocktails and live food taken in an atmosphere of happiness and thankfulness.

JUVENILE RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS: DEFINITION AND SYMPTOMS

Sunday, February 13th, 2011
One of the most difficult diseases to diagnose in children is juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA), the most common cause of arthritis in children. This is because there are numerous childhood ailments that must first be discounted.
The juvenile form of RA is quite different from the adult form. It can be very debilitating in children, causing fatigue, weakness, and severe pain in the joints. The clinical presentation can be anything from inability to play with other children to doing poorly in school. When suspicious of something, the pediatrician can get the appropriate X-rays or laboratory tests to make the diagnosis.
In children, the disease really becomes a collection of signs aim symptoms of other diseases, some of them quite scary until the diagnosis is solid. For example, the child can present with pauciarticular arthritis (the most common form), which means very few joints are affected, as compared to the systemic form (the least common form), where many joints are involved, along with other systemic symptoms such as fever. The joints must be affected symmetrically-on both sides simultaneously-as is the case in adults. Finally, there is the polyarticular form of arthritis (occurring in about half of the children with the disease).
Erosions occur, and their manifestations are far more serious in children, since their bones are still in development. For example, the development of the jaw can be stunted due to inflammation, causing a small lower jaw, a condition called micrognathia. Often a limb’s growth may remain stunted as the child grows older. One of the most serious complications of JRA is overall stunted growth.

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY TREAT BDD WITH MEDICATION: RECOMMENDATIONS IF AN SRI DOESN’T WORK WELL ENOUGH?

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011
What if an SRI doesn’t work or works only partially? This is an important question that you may face. Some people are pleased enough with a partial response that they don’t want to pursue additional treatment. Others, however want to further improve. While there are very little research data on this question, my clinical experience suggests that a number of approaches may be effective.
Optimize the SRI you’re already on: This means following the above guidelines to the extent that you can, taking a high enough dose for a long enough time. It doesn’t make sense to give up on an SRI if you haven’t given it a good enough try. As I’ve mentioned, some people benefit from exceeding the maximum dose recommended by the pharmaceutical company (excluding clomipramine [Anafranil) and tolerate it fine. If optimizing the SRI doesn’t work well enough for you, there are two major approaches you can take:
1) “Augment” the SRI: One approach is called augmentation. With this approach, you continue the ineffective or partially effective SRI and add another medicine to the SRI to augment, or boost, the SRI’s effect.
2) Switch to another SRI: The second approach is called switching. With this approach, you discontinue the SRI and try another SRI.
